I learned Aggressiveness
The things I’ve learned that I haven’t learned elsewhere were giving strong commitment, boosting my confidence, and aggressiveness to the goals I have set. I could say that my stay in LCTC has lot of interesting moments because I manage to let them all laugh with me. What I appreciate most about my training at LCTC is that it helped me a lot in terms of my pronunciations, grammar and my confidence. I appreciate Priscilla's patience and determination in helping us improve and did her very best just to make sure that everyone could understand the topics. I have learned a lot in LCTC that I haven't learned anywhere else like the different ‘Filipinoisms’, the proper pronunciation of words and the American accent. I never knew that some of the words I am using are not known by other people or countries, only Filipinos know these words. "A bit of American accent now"
Though I am a graduate from UP, I would proudly say that LCTC has shaped my “tongue” or accent. Before, I was very scared to talk in English because I know it would be awful. Through the impromptu speech, I was able to open up and express what I honestly feel. Most importantly, I can say that I have the right grammar, pronunciation, a bit of American Accent now. “I am now comfortable with people”
I really learned a lot from LCTC. I consider values as the most important lesson I’ve learned. Because, no matter how good I am in my field if I don’t have the right attitude, I am still a loser. I really appreciate our trainer and the staff. They’re all nice and they would always give their effort for us to learn. I never thought that confidence can be gained through good communication. I spent years searching for ways to overcome shyness and I remember my college instructors helped me to gain confidence however no matter what we did; I always end up locking myself in my shell. But with my training at LCTC, I learned a lot of things through our daily activities. I gain confidence and I am now comfortable to meet new people.
